Revealing America's School Fools and Felons
A handful of school teachers, teachers' unions and Professors of Education can defeat this natural instinct to learn new information.
Unfortunately for America's public school students, identifying and removing this tiny minority of abusive teachers, incompetent principals, greedy administrators and spendthrift school boards is very difficult. Public school children and their parents may also contend with teacher arrogance, prejudices, carelessness, power grabs, status battles, sexual desires, criminal immorality and last, but certainly not least, the greed of the teachers' unions.
The American mass media too rarely questions the educational establishment about their theories, organizations, statements, actions, beliefs or competence. Journalists tend to view educators as civic partners who share their desire to properly inform America's half-ignorant, prejudiced and selfish citizen masses. In addition, the mass media and the educational institutions tend to share economic, educational and social backgrounds. Finally, when all else fails, look for educators to seek financial income and/or careers in the media ... and the members of the media to seek financial income and/or careers in schools and colleges.
Of course, all of these shared interests, between the American journalistic media and the educational establishment, hardly encourages either one to view the other with anything like skepticism.
As a former public school student, a former public university student, a father of eight public school students and a taxpayer, I have a vested interest in revealing the seamier side of American public education. I believe that many parents, students and taxpayers share my interest in looking behind the benign public mask of American public schools.
When it comes to felons, fools and scoundrels in America's schools and colleges, you can rely upon the frequent reports provided by SCHOOL SCANDALS USA.

When kindergartners do this, THEY don't get arrested!
Accused: Coleman Eaton Jr. of Riverdale, GA.
When Coleman Eaton Jr., age 60, accepted this substitute teaching position at the Riverdale Elementary School, the school principal failed to notify Mr. Eaton that there was a rest room just down the hall. Being the shy type, Mr. Coleman finally could not hold his water any longer and found a more public place to relieve himself, whether the fourth grade students in his class liked it or not ... (this link has elapsed).

Looking for love in all the wrong places.
Accused: Angela Sue New of Gregg County, TX.
Many in this rural Texas school district were surprised at the popularity of this experienced English teacher's classes. Male students usually disdained English classes, but Ms. News English classes were always filled to the maximum. Finally, in early April 2011, the mystery began to unravel. Angela Sue New, age 39, has resigned her position as high school English teacher after she was arrested by the sheriff's department for improper relations with ... MORE

She's $8,000 richer, but no happier.
Accused: Sandra Sparks of Newport News, VA.
School secretary Sandra Sparks, age 49, has apparently made herself $8,000 richer, but apparently no happier (if her mug shot is any clue). She allegedly stole $8,000 from the school district's funds for the television and telecommunications center. Ms. Sparks was also charged with 17 counts of forgery and 17 counts of 'uttering' (whatever 'uttering' is).
WHAT ?! The Newport News School District has a television station of it's own? If I resided in the Newport News school district, I would do a slow burn while thinking about my local taxes!
Anyway, read here for ... MORE

Principal changes career to that of shoplifter.
Accused: Patricia Edwards of Evansville, IN.
Having been forgiven for one shoplifting spree, Ms. Edwards went on to her second shoplifting spree. So, having shown that she was more interested in a shoplifting career than a career as an elementary school principal, Ms. Edwards is now free to engage full-time in the rather more exciting career of retail theft. Sometimes we just don't know our career goals until we get to be 58-years-old, like Ms. Edwards ... MORE

Teacher with 'short eyes' gets a 30-year sentence.
Accused: Robert Hagberg of Naples, FL.
He was a well-liked high school band and music teacher. He was a 49-year-old teacher who manipulated a 15-year-old female student into engaging in sexual acts with him. He has now been convicted and sentenced to 30 years in prison. It is quite possible that Mr. Hagberg could be released on parole after 15 years in prison, but it could be a very unpleasant 15 years in Hell. American prisoners refer to child molesters as 'short eyes' and, if his fellow prisoners decide that Mr. Hagberg qualifies as a 'short eyes', well ... MORE

Elementary school principal has a weird interest in young boys.
Accused: Robert Yerton of Tulsa, OK.
This 41-year-old Tulsa elementary school principal had an intense fascination with boys' genitalia. Unfortunately for the science of biology, Robert Yerton did not pursue a Ph.D. in Human Anatomy. Instead, he decided to pursue elementary school boys as young as 6 years old. His abnormal interest in boys may have been aided by Yerton having recieved a major teacher's award - several years ago - called the 'National Honor Roll's Outstanding Teachers'.
(Who would ever suspect a recipient of the 'National Honor Roll's Outstanding Teachers' award of being a pedophile?)

With all due respect to the fact that some of the accused may be innocent, and if so I hope they are exhonerated at trial, these allegations are so outrageous that it would be hard to make them up.
Though you've written this in an entertaining manner, the allegations are truly troubling and need to be exposed and investigated fully. Thanks for letting us know that is exactly what's happening.
